Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fare iOS app and travelwithfare.com (together, “Fare”). By creating an account or using Fare, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to enter a binding contract and meet the minimum age required by Apple and applicable law.
- Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Apple ID secure.
- Keep the profile information you choose to share accurate, including your display name and airports.
2. What Fare is
Fare is a fare-discovery and trip-coordination service. We help you find standout flight deals and plan with friends. Fare is not an airline, travel agency, or ticket seller. Fare does not issue tickets or act as your booking agent.
When you choose a deal, Fare opens an external third-party booking destination. Your purchase is with that third party under their terms.
3. Prices and availability
- Fares, dates, airlines, and availability can change quickly.
- A deal shown in Fare may no longer be available at the same price—or at all—when you reach the booking site.
- Any “typical” or reference price context is informational only and is not a guarantee of savings.
- Fare does not guarantee that a booking will complete or that a third party will honor a displayed price.
4. Fare Free and Fare Premium
- Fare Free includes access to Fare with limitations, such as a Daily Preview of strong deals rather than the full unlocked experience.
- Fare Premium unlocks Premium features shown in the app at the time of purchase, which may include broader deal access, Friends-related Premium capabilities, and optional price alerts.
- Premium is offered as auto-renewing monthly and yearly subscriptions through the App Store. Where offered, subscriptions include a 7-day introductory free trial, after which paid auto-renewal continues until you cancel.
- Apple charges your Apple ID and processes purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds according to Apple’s terms and policies. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Deleting your Fare account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
5. Fare Friends
- Fare Friends lets people form a small group, share airports, and explore destinations that work from those airports.
- Invites use shareable links. Only share invites with people you trust.
- Use Friends respectfully. Do not harass others, misuse invites, or disrupt groups.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Fare, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, spam or abuse notifications, violate others’ rights, or misrepresent your affiliation with Fare.
7. Account termination
You may sign out or delete your Fare account from Profile. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the service, or if we discontinue Fare. Subscription billing remains governed by Apple unless you cancel with Apple.
8. Intellectual property
Fare, its branding, design, and software are owned by Fare or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Fare in accordance with these Terms. Content shown in the app may include licensed imagery and third-party materials.
9. Service changes and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features—including supported airports, alerts, Premium benefits, or Friends limits—as Fare evolves. Coverage may be limited to certain origins. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
10. Disclaimers
FARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF FARES OR THE OUTCOME OF ANY THIRD-PARTY BOOKING.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FARE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR TRAVEL COSTS ARISING FROM CHANGING FARES OR BOOKINGS YOU MAKE WITH THIRD PARTIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO FARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR FARE PREMIUM THROUGH APPLE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. SOME PLACES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS; IN THOSE PLACES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using Fare, you also acknowledge that policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date on this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of Fare after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Severability
If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
15. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app disclosures that expressly apply, are the entire agreement between you and Fare regarding the service and replace prior agreements on the same subject.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise.
